The York Regional Police (YRP), on behalf of the Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run, will accompany civilian riders on a motorcycle ride starting at the Shed in Newmarket on Saturday, June 13.
YRP is proud to host an exciting day of riding and camaraderie for motorcycle enthusiasts in support of Special Olympics Ontario!
We have a very scenic route planned, which will take you from Newmarket, through Sunderland to Fenelon Falls, up to the Kirkfield Lift Lock, over to Orillia, through Barrie and back to Newmarket, where you will enjoy a fabulous after-ride party, featuring a steak barbecue, raffles, games, valuable prizes and more!
Sign up today to be part of the excitement! You can register individually, with a passenger, or make your own team! Fees are $50 for riders and $35 for passengers, which includes a Torch Ride T-shirt, light lunch, and after-ride steak barbecue party. Riders who raise a minimum of $200 will have their registration fee waived. Riders will also have the opportunity to ride in a small group with a YRP officer when they raise a minimum of $500!
So shine up your bike … tell your friends and family … and register today for the York Region Torch Ride! It’s always a great time for a great cause! You won’t want to miss it after you check out the amazing video taken of the 2014 York Region Torch Ride by our top fundraiser, Rob Johnson.
