Event Details:

York Regional Police is hosting our 5th annual Luminary Run and Candlelight Vigil to honour fallen police officers who have been killed in the line of duty.

This free event is open to members of the community. If you don't want to participate in the run, citizens are invited to attend anywhere along the route to show your support. You can also attend the intersection of Herald Road and Highway 48 for the vigil. 

Online registration for the Luminary Run is now open. Before registering, please review the 2019 Candlelight Vigil and Luminary Run Waiver. 

Citizens are also invited to purchase a luminary, with a personalized message, for only $5. All money raised from the event will go the the National Police and Peace Officers' Memorial.
