***Due to the police funeral of fallen Toronto Police Service Constable Andrew Hong, we have cancelled this event so our members can support our policing family from TPS. Luminaries are still available for purchase to honour all officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their community.

York Regional Police is hosting our 8th annual Luminary Run and Candlelight Vigil to honour fallen police officers who have been killed in the line of duty.

This free, five-kilometre run is open to members of the community. Runners will meet at 7 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. start. Full details will be emailed to participants a week prior to the event. 

If you don't want to participate in the run, citizens are invited to attend anywhere along the route to show your support. You can also attend the Garrett Styles Park at 176 Laurendale Ave, Keswick for the vigil. 

Online registration for the Luminary Run is now open. Before registering, please review the 2022 Candlelight Vigil and Luminary Run Waiver. 

Citizens are also invited to purchase a luminary, with a personalized message, for only $5. All money raised from the event will go the Canadian National Police and Peace Officers' Memorial and Camp F.A.C.E.S.
