Marking 28 years of Police Appreciation Night

For nearly three decades, Police Appreciation Night has shone a light on the outstanding work conducted every day by members of York Regional Police. Awards include:

  • Professionalism in Policing
  • Garrett Styles Bravery in the Line of Duty
  • Rob Plunkett Outstanding Service to the Community
  • Herbert H. Carnegie Community Award
  • Leo McArthur Civilian Recognition Award

Guests will also hear a speech from the Grade 5 winner of the Police Chief for a Day contest.

Since the event’s inception, a dedicated group of community volunteers has worked to support our police service by raising over $2 million in support of York Regional Police programs and equipment.

This annual event draws more than 1,000 guests, including business leaders, members of all levels of government, community partners and police professionals. Proceeds from this year's event will benefit Victim Services of York Region and the York Region Centre for Community Safety.

Tickets and tables

  • $5,000 per table
    • All tables seat 10, with the inclusion of one member of York Regional Police

  • Individual Ticket(s) - $500.00

    Select this option to purchase up to nine individual tickets. Tickets cost $500 each. On the night of the event, attendees are asked to present their confirmation email.

  • Table - $5,000.00

    Select this option to purchase a table. Tables cost $5,000 each. Please note that tables are of 10 and include one host member of York Regional Police. On the night of the event, attendees are asked to present their confirmation email.

  • Presenting Sponsor - $50,000.00

    For $50,000, this sponsorship includes: • Three tables • 27 tickets to pre-event VIP reception • Recognition for full amount of sponsorship prior to and during event • Two-page spread in event program for advertising • Company advertisement featured in the evening’s visuals • The opportunity to address guests through a pre-recorded video provided by the sponsor • Recognition by the master of ceremonies from the podium

  • Diamond Sponsor - $30,000.00

    For $30,000, this sponsorship includes: • Two tables • 18 tickets to pre-event VIP reception • Recognition for full amount of sponsorship prior to and during event • One-page spread in event program for advertising • Company advertisement featured in the evening’s visuals • Recognition by the master of ceremonies from the podium

  • Gratitude Sponsorship - $10,000.00

    For $10,000, this sponsorship includes: • One table of nine, plus a sponsorship of one additional table for ten police officers or community members • Recognition during the event • Half-page in the event program for advertising or message

  • Bronze Sponsorship - $7,500.00

    For $7,500, this sponsorship includes: • One table • Recognition during the event • Quarter-page in the event program for advertising or message

  • Table Sponsor (Donate the table) - $5,000.00

    If you are unable to attend, purchase a table and donate it back. Receive a tax receipt for the full amount.

  • Platinum Sponsor - $20,000.00

    For $20,000, this sponsorship includes: • One table • Nine tickets to the pre-event VIP reception • Acknowledgement for full amount of sponsorship • Recognition prior to and during the event • Half-page in the event program for advertising or message
