Start a new career in policing.

York Regional Police is currently searching for the next generation of police officers. Join us in 2026 as we put our people first.

The Outreach Recruiting Unit is hosting an information session for all EMS and first responders. Learn how your experience as a first responder could translate into a rewarding career in policing with one of Greater Toronto's Top Employers and a national leader in law enforcement.

Join us to ask questions, meet with recruiters, and hear from other EMS professionals who have transitioned to policing.

Details

Each session includes a presentation about the organization, basic applicant requirements, the application process, and how to prepare for the interview, followed by a question-and-answer period. York Regional Police recruiters and uniform officers will be on hand before and after all sessions to provide any other information you may require. 

All sessions start promptly at their scheduled time. Facility doors will be open at 4:30 p.m., with no further admittance after 5:15 p.m.

House Rules

·       Must provide first responder identification

·       No walk-ins will be permitted (you must register for this event)

·       No bags will be allowed in the building 

·       No personal recording devices, photos or videos. Attendees are encouraged to bring a notebook and a pen to take notes
