Workshops & Seminars
This five-day conference is for officers and civilian police members investigating/managing hate crime occurrences and runs from September 26 to September 30.
Our theme for this year’s conference is ‘Embracing What Makes Us Different’. This highlights the significance of living in a diverse society and the importance of understanding hate crimes and its effects on the victims and their families.
There is an increase in public interest and media attention on hate crimes and law enforcements’ response to address these issues. Therefore, discussions on these topics will be useful to investigators and police agencies across the country.
Keynote Speaker: Ted Nolan
The full syllabus is still being developed but we are thrilled that Ted Nolan, former NHL player and coach, will be our keynote speaker.
In addition, discussion topics will include legislation, vulnerable groups and case studies.
Limited seating available.
Registration is $500 per person and there are only 100 spots available. Lunch and snack will be provided daily.
