York Regional Police 3rd Annual “Give Me 1 Metre - It's the Law” Cycling Safety Campaign
Please join us as we launch our third annual “Give me one metre it’s the law” education and enforcement campaign to bring awareness to drivers and cyclists alike regarding the rules of the road around cycling safety in York Region. There is a need to change attitudes and improve driving and riding behaviours, in an effort to create safer roads for all.
This event and Cycling Safety Campaign is brought to you by YRP, York Region, and CAA.

9:00 am – Registration Open
10:00 a.m. - Opening remarks and Victim Impact Statement
10:30 a.m. - Media - Photo Ops
11:00 a.m. - 40 km group ride
12:30 p.m. - Lunch provided to all participants
Registration fee of $50 will include:
· A custom Jackroo FONDO Safety Campaign cycling jersey - (Standard Fit) (https://jakroo.com/fit-and-sizing)
· Entry into the 40 km group bike ride

· Pre-ride snacks and lunch following the ride

Please note: All funds from the registration and raffle ticket sales will be in support of Victim Services of York Region. The raffle draw will take place at lunch following the ride. Ticket winner does not need to be present in order to win.
